CROATIA IN SPACE ECONOMY MAPPING 2025

Rapid Growth
of the
Space Sector

Unicorn Underground (^UU) teamed up with HISPACE 🚀 to conduct the first-ever mapping of Croatia's aerospace industry, with a special focus on the country's emerging space sector 🇭🇷.By analyzing dozens of companies active in aviation and space technologies, we set out to answer a simple question:Does Croatia have a space industry?The answer is yes. And it's growing fast 📈.Our research found that Croatia's aerospace industry generated €845.2 million in revenue in 2025, while the space segment emerged as its fastest-growing part, expanding by 34%. The sector now employs 797 people, accounting for nearly one-fifth of the aerospace workforce, while employment growth outpaced the rest of the industry by almost three times.But the numbers tell only part of the story.The mapping revealed a growing ecosystem of startups, engineering teams, and technology companies developing everything from satellite and rocket subsystems to AI solutions for satellite imagery analysis, orbital data processing, electronics, propulsion systems, and other advanced space technologies 🌍🛰️.For HISPACE, this research provides the first baseline for understanding, tracking, and measuring the development of Croatia's space ecosystem over time. For ^UU, it represents another step in uncovering fast-growing innovation sectors before they become obvious to everyone else 💎.Our goal wasn't just to count companies.
